The Delta Oaks Preserve (DOP)
Preserving the Legacy of Faulkner, Elvis, BB, and Native America in the Mississippi Delta.
The Delta Oaks Preserve (DOP) is an Outdoor Event Venue available by appointment for Nature Tourism, Groups, Tours, and other Outdoor activities, and a part of The Delta Ecology Research Conservancy (DERC). It is located near the historic Tallahatchie River, just west of the Choctaw Ridge between the Mississippi Hill Country and Delta, within the Mature Oak Forests of The Delta Ecology Research Conservancy.
The Preserve is nestled into the Natural Forests where William Faulkner spent a lot of time hunting and writing some of his most famous books. It also straddles the historic Choctaw/Cherokee Boundary as it runs through the Mississippi Delta.
Visitors are able to enjoy the wildlife and natural outdoor environment, and the foods that have produced and nurtured some of the World's most accomplished Artists, Musicians, & Writers.
The DERC Complex is located between the Towns of Batesville, Marks, and Clarksdale. DERC facilities are easily accessible to Travelers, and Delta Cultural Tourists, through the nearby Amtrak Train Station in Marks, Mississippi.
Tickets are $100 for a minimum of two in a Group.
Food, entertainment, and onsite Tour Guide(s) are available for Large Group Activities.
Discounts apply to larger groups.
