The other problem would be adequate funding for proper development, but today that may be dealt with by using a kickStarter or other crowdfunding method. Now for something almost every developer gets wrong, the Questing system, which is normally what you do to competently progress through the story, or the game in the general. The mistake most developers make, is that Questing is made tedious, and not all that interesting. Having a more dynamic Questing system usually helps, similar to that in Guild Wars 2.

Another problem is finding the proper demographic for your particular project. The people you want playing your game. Which means you have to be as clear as possible, as to what kind of game you want to get out into the world.

The art-style/graphics is another important thing that can easily make or break a game for certain people. The art-style is important to convey your message to the types of people and even the ages of the demographic you are trying to target.

One other problem is the Pay to Win method utilized. A sort of method where you would have micro-transactions that could affect your gameplay in such a way that gives an unfair advantage. To be honest the concept of Pay to Win is very subjective. Very few people like it, and in fact most dislike it, and certainly there are some people who are indifferent to the subject.

A cluttered and unmanageable interface is a small problem, but a problem none the less. So keep your game clean and clutter free. One more thing, so I don't find myself rambling on and on about this. The overall quality, or presentation of the game is a most important element for the developer to keep in mind at all times.

As a game developer you must listen to your community to create a good game.

I'm merely outlining what some of the issues digital games may have, and what it might take to make a good one. I am not really a pro here, I am just offering an opinion on the matter.

The upcoming Major League Baseball Championships and World Series marks another important opportunity for entrepreneurs to benefit from one of the Nation's most celebrated sporting traditions. The number of job and entrepreneurial opportunities created by the Baseball industry is almost without par in American business. From pee wee baseball, little league, high school, college, minor league, and right through the major league activities, the Baseball cash register is constantly ringing and has done so for decades.

In 1989 Major League Baseball initiated its Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program which also hosts its own World Series. RBI provides opportunities for young men and women from underserved communities to utilize Baseball and Softball to attain educational scholarships, and engage in numerous other beneficial activities. Over 200 RBI players have also been drafted by Major League Baseball Teams. It is estimated that the 30 Major League Teams have provided over $40 million in resources to over 300 programs within 200 cities worldwide. The 2014 RBI World Series hosted by the Texas Rangers was completed in early August just prior to  the Little League World Series.

Now the World awaits the biggest of the events, the upcoming 2014 Major League Baseball championships and World Series. Cities, communities, and  entrepreneurs eagerly await what historically promises to be a major cash register ringing phenomenon. Various estimates are that each City involved in the World Series can potentially reap up to 16 million dollars per game, with attendant media attention stretched out over several weeks bringing additional economic benefits to the environs.

In estimating what the World Series meant to the Boston Community the City determined that when a regular season game would bring in $500,000 to one million dollars, a World Series Game could realize as much as $10 million dollars for the community.

American Baseball has done an excellent job spreading its influence around the Globe, and building its heirarchical system of succession from Pee Wee baseball through its Minor League system. While other major league sports have attempted to replicate this structure and success it has been difficult despite the inroads made by Professional Football and Basketball. Entrepreneurs within the Sports and other Industries should carefully study the business of Baseball in America to learn how to build and maintain a world class business operation.

The 2014 World Series is expected to begin around October 22, 2014 and entrepreneurs are already preparing for what could be their biggest opportunity and payday to date.

The recent attention on the lack of Criminal Justice for Blacks in the United States is instructive. The Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman case among others, and now the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson Missouri, should open more eyes to the fact that Civil Justice in America is perhaps even less existent. However this situation has not been as universally recognized, nor has it attracted the type of attention it should. As a Black lawyer involved in the corporate and business transactional areas of practice, I can attest to the fact that the situation for Civil Justice for blacks is as least as dire or more so, than their plight in the Criminal Justice arena.

This is important because without parity in the Civil Justice system the achievement of economic parity and equal opportuntiy and treatment for minorities in America will remain only a dream, and equality within the Criminal Justice system will certainly not be possible.

In Criminal Justice Blacks at least have the opportunity of having their issues aired in a Court of Law after they are dragged into Court and given some semblance of a hearing on their charges. In contrast, because of the lack of funds and other access to adequate legal representation, many minorities in Civil matters have essentially no access to the Court system. They have little recourse to resovle the many Civil Injustices practiced against them, many of which are ironically caused by infractions committed by Federal, State and Local governmental entities which routinely commit constitutional and statutory violations against the citizenry, Black and White. 

The Civil Judiciary and legal system is even more White than the Criminal Justice system. Blacks and other Minorities therefore face a great hurdle in achieving Civil Justice because many of the adjudicators may not be adequately or historically conversant with the customs, mores, and experiences of Minority populations. This is somewhat evidenced in recent decades by the increasing difficulty for plaintiffs to achieve success in actions based on constitutional provisions of equal protection, and substantive and procedural due process.

The increasing but misplaced belief in some segments of the White community that racism is now non-existent, and that Blacks have achieved racial equality is also playing a significant role in the denial of Civil Justice in Black and Brown America. The election and re-election of the first African-American President has obviously emboldened those holding such views.

Civil infractions also do not have the sensational carriage of criminal matters which are usually more easily analyzed and reported by the media providing some resolution due the power of the fourth estate. Political attention and intervention with resultant mediation is also often facilitated in sensational Criminal Justice matters. 

This lack of Civil Justice is directly related to the difficulty Blacks have historically experienced in climbing the ladder of business and economic success. Entrepreneurial success is often heavily controlled and influenced by the civil justice system. The lack of Black and other minority lawyers focused on economic and businesses related practice, combined with a dearth of of Black judges, further exacerbates this problem. As a Black Lawyer I have experienced on several levels this lack of civil justice inherent in the system.

The cameras and media have a much more difficult time exposing the atrocities committed against Minorities in the Civil Justice system. This problem will likely persist until the number of Black lawyers working in the business and corporate sectors increases, and the amount of Black Judges expands significantly.

When officer Darren Wilson allegedly shot Michael Brown in broad daylight while he was running down the street in an attempt to save his life, onlookers and analyzers could easily form opinions as to whether the action was justified or not. They will also be able to readily assess whether the responses and actions within the Criminal Justice system are appropriately applied. However in Civil matters, particularly those involving business, corporate issues, and governmental actions where the poor, unrepresented, and racially deprived are discriminated against, such discriminatory practices are much more easily hidden, and consequentially institutionally entrenched.

True leaders are those that teach and pass on their knowledge, and those who provide for generations to come by leaving their teachings and knowledge behind.

A young lady around eighteen years of age was told that the friends she was keeping would lead her astray, her response was "if I should get in trouble it will not be because of my friends but my own doing". 

A true leader sees the world and its opportunities, others focus on the valleys.

A true leader is a servant not a boss.

A true leader has followers who see her as a model.

These are some of the attributes which make a true leader.

Intellectual Properties (I.P.s.) are the rights in creative productions and inventions attained through legal concepts such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and industrial secrets. They are usually created by operation of law but can be acquired through transfer, sale, licenses and other contractual use agreements from the primary I.P. holders.

Intellectual Properties are the backbone, integrity, and 'Engine of Modern Global Business'.

The acquisition and licensing of valuable Intellectual Properties is also the business of the future. The ownership of valuable Intellectual Properties provides the owner or controller with the superior profits in any industry or business transaction, and may even provide mandatory statutory payments in some cases.

The ownership and control of Intellectual Property also provides important global markets, legal, transactional, and other protections, for the owners, controllers, and producers of Assets. It is the Intellectual Property that ultimately provides and protects the value for products and services in the modern Global Economy.

The large amounts of money and resources necessary for major corporations to competitively produce and market products globally, is only available for products and services that have the requisite protection provided by properly attached Intellectual Properties.

In the modern Global Economy, whenever possible, products and services should be produced and packaged wrapped in Intellectual Property.

To effectively value and acquire intellectual properties the businessman and investor should have a thorough working knowledge of these entities and how they relate to modern business operations. I.P. control is essential to protect the investments of multi-national companies and other global business players as they maneuver and sell their products and services worldwide. it is the ownership and control of valuable intellectual properties which allows businesses to grow beyond sovereign borders and protect their investments and assets globally. Without it worldwide commerce would not be effectively available.

The advent of the Internet and Digitalization of Assets, Productions, and Transactions has further enhanced the importance of Intellectual Properties in modern Global Business and Investment activities.

As an entrepreneur and business person desiring to reach the top of the financial ladder you must aspire to own the Intellectual Property rights which allow you to participate in the superior profits in any industry. The profits that come in the form of passively acquired royalties from licensure of I.P.s. Ownership of I.P.s also effectively limits the competition in the marketplace. But first you must first be able to acquire them, and be sure to acquire the most valuable ones available at the time. Realize that you do not need to be the original producer of the product. There are many ways to acquire the rights in a product and many times acquiring just a part of some valuable intellectual property is all you may need.

One way to easily acquire rights in valuable and otherwise unavailable Intellectual Properties is to own shares as an investor in publicly traded companies already rich in intellectual properties. Otherwise you will have to be the creator of the I.P., or acquire them in the more difficult to maneuver private markets.

Remember the Bill Gates story. He and several of the other billionaires in the Microsoft company all got where they are by owning parts of the intellectual property in a relatively small and not exceptionally well developed piece of software called DOS. Now some of the richest individuals in the United States are members of the Microsoft team and others are climbing fast. In fact the Microsoft phenomenon, Silicon Valley and other software and technology noveau rich, are prime examples of the power of ownership of valuable intellectual properties in this modern economy.

Bill Gates and his colleagues from Microsoft and similar technology moguls will continue to move up the listings of the world's richest individuals as time passes simply due to the inherent nature of the intrinsic way wealth which is based on valuable intellectual property grows in the modern economy. If you examine the rise of the newest group of the world’s wealthiest individuals you will discover that with each year more and more of these individuals will rise up the list. It's the type of property they own or control that counts.

Determining The Market Value of Intellectual Properties

Determining the value of Intellectual Properties is a complex science. The following is a list of important questions to ask, and to be answered in determining the value of Intellectual Properties:

How unique is the I.P. or its physical application?
How useful is it compared to its competitors?
What kind and amount of publicity has it received?
How newsworthy is its presence?
When is the term of the patent, copyright or other intellectual property expiring?
Who owns similar I.P?
What is the history of I.P. development of the company?
What are the ancillary I.P.s?
What derivative I.P.s are associated or likely to be derived in the future?
How well protected is the I.P.?
Are there any lawsuits pending for infringement or any threats of adverse litigation?
How soon is the I.P or its physical application(s) marketable?
What are the current and future applications of the I.P?
What type and amount of publicity has the I.P. received?
What is the potential for value of the raw I.P. without use in applications?

Obviously each of these questions requires further analysis and expertise in reaching the answers. This is where further knowledge and expertise will pay off in the research process.

For investors in I.P. securities knowledge of the particular industry which you are investing is extremely important. One good idea is to develop a form or checklist which you can complete on each company or piece of intellectual property you are evaluating. This streamlines and facilitates the evaluation process and improves your productivity and efficacy.

Intellectual Property & Technology Transfer

Intellectual Property Commercialization has now become the basis for the new and burgeoning industries of Academic, and International, Technology Transfer. The formal process of Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property commercialization in the Academic, Industrial and International arenas has become ever important to Wall Street. This is especially so since the passage of the Byah-Dole Act in the United States and similar legislation in other industrialized countries.

The transformation of ideas and research into commercial applications and products secured by protected Intellectual Properties in the global markets has fueled the worldwide revolution in Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property commercialization. The Tech Transfer revolution combined with corporate and securities regulations have also led to international "Patent Banks" established in various jurisdictions around the world.

While the relatively new and formal industry of Academic Technology Transfer has been highly patent oriented and based in the STEM areas, Technology Transfer in the Arts & Entertainment based on copyrights and industrial secrets are just as important and lucrative. Music and publishing rights for example account for many billions of dollars of domestic and export revenue into the United States.

Ultimately large scale financial success and viability depends on the ability to own, control, and sell a valuable service, natural resource, or piece of innovation. In modern times, the importance of uniqueness and innovation in the process is perhaps the most important element.

The acquisition and the protection of Intellectual Property is therefore the current and future engine of modern global business. Without it you are just another bystander, and not a player in the game of economic success, and particularly so in the economies of corporations and countries.
